As a graphic designer, I communicate things visually, combining text, images and design elements to convey messages, ideas, or information. I predominantly create brand identities (i.e. logos, choosing colours and fonts), website layouts, social media content, print collateral, and much more! Anywhere you look, whether you’re looking at a passing billboard, choosing a dish from a menu, or searching for a shop sign, bears the mark of a graphic designer.

Not anything wacky but I started picking up crocheting and I want to try making chalk bags for my bouldering sessions.
A common myth I hear is that graphic design is art - while graphic design does involve illustrations, it also requires a lot of problem solving. As a designer, I need to consider questions such as: Is the message clear? Is it legible? Does it flow seamlessly?
I prioritise the foundation of the task and tackle the most important parts first. For example, when creating a website, I create all the panels to be reusable yet flexible enough that the website isn't too repetitive.
